SUNIG

the SUNIG chapter finally came to a close yesterday when i collected the medals, team NUS polo tees and the wind breaker. It had not been an easy time especially co-ordinating among all the halls and all the difficulties that had been posed since June.

i still remember the first meeting that we had at the starbucks at the raffles city shopping centre and the numerous failures of trying to conduct a constructive wednesday session during the holidays. luckily when sch reopened, things got slightly better. better turn up, more commitment.

one of the greatest prob posed was the IVP cap thing. a problem that i had raised up at the first meeting didn't have a solution all the way till one week b4 the first match. and yes, our team is also officially formed one week b4 the first match.

even when the tournament got under way, things weren't even smooth. the first match, i received a call at 12 pm to ask me to submit the team sheet that had slipped off my mind. at 3 pm, SRC called again to tell me a jersey was burnt ( printing errors and requested new jersey from me) and i had to rush down to get one. the 2nd match, i received calls 24 hrs b4 the match that 2 players were out. on the last one, our glue and drinks got stolen before the very minute of our match.

but still, we still hang on and deliver the expectations. it was a relief.

i do agree that it was very heart breaking for a couple of players who didnt make it due to injuries and other reasons. but hopefully, they do enjoy coming together to play. anyway, i really appreciate great from people like thong meng, bobby and martin etc. really learn from them quite alot.

i gotta say i still got alot to learn. but finally for now, i can sit back n just focus on IHG.
