looking forward to friday..

i know i will be tired.. but i know what i can look forward to, and that actually spurs me on.

i finally know what i want.

sunday soccer

it is finally sunday again.

even through i only slept for an hr the night b4, i seriously couldn't stop myself from going for soccer on sunday morning. i think it has become an addiction and i dont think there is any other gd reasons from stopping me to play on sunday. my passion for the game is coming back.

moreover for this wk, it was supposed to be a field match. however, once again, our plans were spolit by the rain which is the only culprit which can stop us from playing. the heavy downpour came just when we were about to kick off. in the end the match was cancelled but we consoled ourselves by moving over to NTU to play among ourselves. Despite the on and off drizzling, followed by a blazing hot sun, we still managed to play our hearts out and enjoyed the world's best game there.

i made several mistakes today and showed a lack of anticipation. maybe it was due to my fatigue level. however, I really have to admit that i am getting sick of playing as a defender. i want a chance to try out the attack. maybe this is a temporarily unhappiness from mel who wants to seek a new challenge. i know there is a shortage of defenders and excessive of attackers in the team n i have to make do with the current position. i still clenched my fist and hope that one day, i can just play up front.

for now, i m looking forward to the nx sunday soccer again.

things just get better

things happen when u least expect it.

earlier this week, i gave up hopes on getting a hostel room. i saw my application got taken off from the system and the adminstrator told me there wasn't any rooms left. so i thought perhaps i dont i have the luck at all. then on the very next day morning, i received a sms from one of the sheares people informing me that i have got a room. i could n't believe my luck. badminton helps me pull through again~! sheares.. here i come =)

another piece of gd news came in again. i received a phone call from the IT Co-op, informing me that i can collect my new lap top any time. such a timely arrival i thought... so i got 2 of my most desired things in a day... a macbook n a hostel room..

for this week only, life is just getting better. =)

a primary school friend's birthday

having to attend a party in the east always gives me a headache cos of the long travelling journey. however, i was looking to today's birthday celeration which was unfortunately held in the east. firstly i knew today was going to be fun as i would be with my primary school friends. as u could have guessed it already, the birthday girl is our primary classmate. it is v amazing that after 10 years, we still can keep in contact and be considered as close friends. ( close enough to be invited to her party ) yi kang gave us a pleasant late surprise by driving today. thanks to that, the travelling was shortened by alot. as usual, he and vivian provided the entertainment as we drove to aloha resort. both of them just can't seem to stop bickering. it had been quite some time since we last met up. everyone looked the same to me and victoria is finally back from the States.

anyway, the birthday girl is yingqi. i knew her since pre-primary. i guess alot of people dont really know what is that. it is one level before primary 1. my batch happened to be the last batch. in fact, i actually know her for around 15 years~! isn't that amazing ? what is more amazing is that despite knowing her for so long, we still don't really know her taste that well. we couldn't really decide on what to get for her. in the end, i chose a maroon Guess wallet for her. ( ok.. with the help of my other friends as well) whenever i need to get a present for a friend, i always wish that i have known him or her better beforehand. haha.. i guess i m being complacency for having them around u at all times and not realising their importance at all and not putting in effort to know them better . maybe i am not gd as a friend sometimes... ...

back to the party, the bbq food was nice and that probably explained why yi kang was such a glutton tonight. there were more than enough to drink and eat. the venue was big enough to contain the large crowd. we had fun chatting and cooking the food. it was quite a gd way to catch up with one another.

another amazing thing that happened at the end was that 8 of us had to squeezed into yi kang's car as we made our way back to the west. for ur info, the car is a 4 seater. can u imagine how cramp the back row was? although the ride was n't that comfortable at all, we still had fun as we cracked jokes and planned on our next gathering. sorry auggy if i m heavy for ur legs... haha.. but i still think that s still better than having u on my thighs instead...

an amazing night.. hope to see ya guys at victoria's birthday party in Oct.
